Operation Christmas Child

You can build a shoebox all year long!

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is Samaritan’s Purse ministry dedicated to spreading God’s love to children in need worldwide. Volunteers pack shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. Each box includes “The Greatest Gift” booklet, sharing the story of Jesus in the child’s language. Many of these children are then given the opportunity to join a group for “The Greatest Journey”, a 12-lesson program on following Christ – and at the end they each receive a New Testament Bible in their own language!

In 2024, our church launched monthly collections culminating in a lively packing party. We joyfully packed and sent 337 shoeboxes, up from 188 last year, with 331 going to Honduras and Peru, and six online to remote areas. Our first year-round effort taught valuable lessons, inspiring plans for an even larger event in 2025.
